This very old crater lake is apparently the country’s cleanest and deepest, at 200 metres deep. The surroundings of this lake are covered with beautiful and lush forests, and not to mention the howler monkeys which dominate the trees. It is known for the warm fumaroles which feed the refreshing and healing slightly-salty waters. A good thing for tourists is that it's not highly controlled, which means you can enjoy doing whatever you want here.

History and Culture
A simple story behind this laguna is that it falls under several Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources’ jurisdictions, which is why it's left alone. Nonetheless it is very popular among tourists, who come here just for the beautiful views and the swimming experience; which is out of this world.
