When you’re in Nicaragua you’ll find that a good deal of interesting places are difficult to visit, but if you have a chance to get over to the Reserva Natural Isla Juan Venado, you’ll find that it is both interesting and accessible. The reserve is on a island that is only 18 kilometres long, but has excellent swimming holes and loads of wildlife. On one side of the reserve you will find the Pacific Coast and waves just dying to be surfed and on the other side, you will find yourself in a natural wonderland of red and black mangrove trees set on emerald lagoons.
