Have a friend who's travelling soon? They may want to know about these guides.

Cerro Negro, which is one of the youngest volcanoes in the world, is the primary attraction here. It is easy to reach this national reserve on the guided hikes available from León. You can even climb to the top of the volcano. It takes about two to three hours to get up there, and you will pass through some spectacular landscapes. Besides biking, the most famous thing to do here is to go on volcano surfing. Watch out for the dangerous stunts done by some people on old mattresses!

Sightseeing
Another spot around here is the Volcán Pilas, which last showed signs of activity about fifty years ago. It’s quite safe to visit this volcano. You can also visit the Laguna de Asosoca, which is known for the cool and relaxing environment. It’s quite hard to get here on your own, because it’s on private property. You may need a tour guide to arrange it for you.
