The town of San Jacinto is quite big, and is very well known among travellers as one of a kind in this part of the world. It serves as the ideal base for the climbs to Volcán Telica and Volcán Rota, as well as Volcán Santa Clara. Hikes to the first volcano usually take about six to eight hours, while the other two take about three to five hours, which means you must have a good base to prepare and start off the expedition. San Jacinto is indeed such a place. The panoramic view of the surrounding from atop the mountain is spectacular. The volcanoes with their cloud covers are also a treat to watch.

Hervideros de San Jacinto is also another good tourist spot here. They are a group of bubbling mud puddles, of which the soil is good for facial masks! Get here by using guides, and after getting yourself all muddy, just walk to the nearby Aguas Termales San Jacinto, the hot springs, to wash it all off.
