If you’re looking for great crafts and you’re out on the Islas Solentiname, there’s no better place to go than the largest of the islands, Mancarrón. Mancarrón is home to the archipelago’s treasured church, the Nuestra Senora de Solentiname, which was destroyed in 1977 during a massacre and was restored as a monument to those who died. Behind the church there is a beautiful beach for swimming and sunbathing and in front of the church there is a children’s playground and another monument to the 1977 massacre.
