Approximately a half hour’s walk from Playa Tamarindo you’ll find yourself on the small beach of Playa Hermosa and it’s even less crowded than Playa Tamarindo. Most swimmers and beach bums don’t make it this far, so you’ll find yourself with little company. The paths back to the main, crowded beaches may be dangerous—if you don’t want to get mugged stay in groups and leave before dark.
