If you’re spending a few days at the beaches south of San Juan del Sur and you have some extra cash to burn or you just want to treat yourself, head down to Playa Ocotal and stay at the extremely posh hotel—it’s a dream hotel—and let yourself have the beach experience of a lifetime. You’ll also find that the hotel has excellent food and the view of the area is amazing. You’ll be able to traverse trails that are made of hanging bridges to get to your cabin, but it won’t have air-conditioning. If you don’t have the cash, make a day-trip to the beach for free.
