If you are travelling along the beach front and you want to save some money on transportation, hop off the bus at Tola, the first of the beach towns around the Toltec beaches. Tola is a service town and has no hotels but it does have one great, inexpensive restaurant serving up typical local foods and cheap, crisp beer. You can catch a taxi to the beaches from here—it will be cheaper than riding the bus.
