Most people only come to this island if they are visiting Bocatorito and other nearby areas. Although it's not well publicised there are a few nice things to see here. The Ngöbe Buglé community occupies this island, which is in fact the largest in the archipelago. Their main source of income is growing cocoa, yucca, and rice, as well as farming chicken and pigs. Tourism is still not their focus, which is why this place is not well visited.

Sightseeing
If you come here by yourself, take a walk around, especially to the Valle Escondido, a settlement at the mouth of a creek. You have to pass through some jungles as well, with some beautiful scenery all around. Another settlement north, Bocatorito is on a mangrove islet and lagoon known as the Dolphin Bay, a very good place for dolphin watching and other fun activities. Try going during non-peak days, especially if you want to feel the connection with the nature here.
