This port side town was once known as Rabo de Puerco, and was changed to the current name some 70 years ago. The Chiriquí baseball stadium is located here, which makes this place even more prominent on the map. Basically, this town is well developed thanks to the heavy investments coming in constantly. The Chiquita Brands, which quit the place several years ago, built many things here, such as wooden homes. Eventually the focus turned to oil, but was fought down by environmental protesters.
