Río Hato can be reached from the Interamericana and it also acts as the gateway to the coastal town of Colcé. The town has Noriega's vacation home, which lies deserted now. The town of Río Hato shares its border with Farallón and it might be difficult to make out where Río Hato ends and Farallón begins. Río Hato offers a few small hotels for accommodation with the choice of air conditioning or a fan. The hotel rates vary from season to season and are more expensive for foreigners if not booked in advance. All the hotels offer breakfast, buffet, dinner, drinks and activities like aerobics etc. You can also take part in activities like mountain biking, windsurfing, boating and snorkelling. Swimming can be a risk due to the existing jellyfish population.
