Puerto Mutis is a tiny little port town. It's a stopping point for boats on their way to Veraguas that need to refuel. The only real reason to visit is if you are waiting to catch a boat to Coiba, but it still makes a nice place to spend a couple of hours. The river is lined with cheap, lively restaurants serving up delicious food and playing loud music.
Getting there
If you are heading to Puerto Mutis by road then you can catch a taxi from Santiago, it takes about 30 minutes. Otherwise you can reach it by boat.
