Santa Catalina is a Mecca for surfers from around the world. Situated on the Gulf of Montijo, surfers can enjoy 5m breaks all year long. This town was once a tiny, forgotten fishing village. Nowadays the secret is out and the town has grown into a surf dude heaven. Unfortunately development has happened quickly and the coast is now lined with big resorts.

Getting there
There are two buses to Santa Catalina from Soná, one at 6.45am and the other at 16.30pm. To get to Soná you can take one of the five daily buses from Panama City.
