Urubamba is a small town in Peru within the Sacred Valley of the Incas. This beautiful town is located 44 miles from Pisac. In the city, close to the monumental church of San Francisco, you can find the huge Inca platforms that can still be appreciated. Urubamba has a beautiful view of the Chicón snow capped peaks and glaciers.
Around and closeby
The community of Chichubamba offers a unique glimpse into the traditional ways of Andean life that have been carried on since before the Incan Empire. The agrotour in Chichubamba is a collaborative effort between the people of Chichubamba and ProPeru. Together they have created a project that supports sustainable social and economic development in Chichubamba. ProPeru initiated the idea of the tour, and has worked extensively with community members in the planning and execution of it.
