Tucacas is an ordinary town. There isn't much to see or do. However, the Parque Nacional Morrocoy is right next to the town. This has helped the town develop into a holiday hub with many hotels and restaurants being constructed in the south between the Moron road and the beach. The main arterial road is the Av Libertador. It is 1km long and stretches between the Moron-Coro road in the west and the bridge to an island in the east. You will find many lodgings and food options here as well.
Around and closeby
The island across the bridge is the Cayo Punta Brava and falls within the area of the national park. If you want to get to the beach then you will have to walk 15 minutes from the bridge along a paved and palm shaded road. There are more beaches in the east on the same island, which are also accessible by road. If you are curious to explore other islands in the park, then you can go to the embarcadero or the landing dock which is full of boats waiting to take tourists on an exploration ride!
