San Francisco de Yuruani is a small village in the north of Santa Elena de Uairen. Located by the highway it acts as a starting point for tourists who want to take a trip up Roraima. There's nothing much to see in town but you can arrange guides and porters from here. While guides have a fixed charge per day, per group of up to six people, porters charge you to carry about 15kg. You can also pick up guides and porters for pretty much the same price in Paraitepui village, which is the next stop after Yuruani.
