This new tourist destination, built by the people of Kamarata in an attempt to attract more tourists, has about 20 newly contracted churuatas. These traditionally styled accommodations are similar to the well-maintained Pemon settlements of an earlier era. With hardly any population, the village is quiet and clinical.

Sightseeing
The main attraction of this area is the Cueva de Kavac - no it’s not a cave - but a deep gorge into which a waterfall plunges. You will be able to swimming in the natural pool at the foot of this waterfall. You can reach the pool by swimming upstream in the canyon, so don´t forget your swimming gear. The walk from Kavac to the caves is a straight, half an hour walk.

Getting there
Most of the tourists come on package tours via tour companies usually from Ciudad Bolivar.
