The trendiest beach in Margarita, Playa El Agua has a 3km long shoreline of white, fine sand shaded by tall coconut groves, and dotted with restaurants and bars thatched with palms, offering a good choice of food, cocktails, and music. Holidaymakers throng this hip beach during holidays and weekends, and bathing in the sea can be quite a task. But on other days, the beach is relaxing, and wonderfully welcoming. The northern section of the beach is less developed and sees fewer crowds.
