HOME - Venezuela - Lara and Yaracuy - El Tocuyo


El Tocuyo was once referred to as the 'Mother City of Venezuela', and was a very rich town. It was devastated by a major earthquake in 1950 and now the only thing rich about it is the soil. There are a number of different agricultural farms in the surrounding areas.

Getting there
There are frequent buses arriving here from Barquismeto.
