Quiballo is a small village that is home to many dirty and shabby kiosks, they either sell perfumes or provide food. The riverbank is the site for a high altar, and shelters a strange collection of images ranging from figures of Bolívar to various Indian caciques, and numerous statues of deity Maria Lionza. The devotees can be seen sitting in front of the altar, lighting candles and smoking cigars. The office of Inparques is behind the altar.

Sightseeing
You can hike up the Cerro if you follow the path from behind the altar but be aware that the trip to the very top can be dangerous because of thieves, snakes and the possibility of getting lost.

Getting there
Larger than Sorte, Quiballo has frequent transport and is more used to people stopping by for a visit. You can get here by Jeep from Chivacoa’s main plaza, they run regularly from there. You should behave modestly and with common sense so as not to disturb the believers, also it’s probably best not to use your camera here.
