Just to the east of the Panamerican highway, it is the access point for visits to “La Gruta de La Paz”, (3 kilometers) warm springs in a swimming pool and a church in a grotto which attracts many pilgrims in September each year.

Taxis and pick ups can be rented in town to make the visit and there is a local bus on Sundays. Passing buses on the Panamerican highway have the same destinations as from Tulcan.
