Isla Bastimentos is definitely a worthy place to visit as it has some rather beautiful beaches. One of the most noteworthy is Playa Wizard, which is about 20 minutes away from the centre. Just walk through flower-filled gardens and beautiful, leafy trails to where the road opens, embracing a beautiful sight with blue waters and golden sands. The path can get quite swampy though, typical of these islands. Although the water is not good for swimming due to the strong cross-currents, you can still visit the beach for the atmosphere and some fun in the sun. It is a good place to rest your head and relax on a hammock.
