Metetí has always been looked at as a better stop-over option than the town of Yaviza. It lies on the Interamericana and offers food and accommodation for all the bus drivers who drive through this town on the way to Panama City. There are a couple of bars playing Salsa music that adds to the small town nightlife while the catinas serve cheap food to one and all.
